planting the patch

Today has seen me busy preparing no dig beds then planting them up. So far Ive put in carrots, white and red radish, daikon, Saag (spinach like) parsley, rosemary, lemon balm and a heap of broccoli seeds.
I love the feeling of accomplishment after turning a plain patch of grass and weeds into a thriving patch of edibles. I have never used nor seen the benefit of blood and bone and such, i garden veganically using only my own made compost and letting mother nature take care of every thing else. There is nothing better than harvesting food that you have lovingly cared for.

raw vegan chia pudding

Oh my god I just made and scoffed down Averies chia pudding and can i just say it is so much better than i could have imagined. It reminds me of a dessert i enjoyed as a kid, sago pudding but this, this beats the stodgy cooked version any time. My next batch will include some lemon juice and finely sliced peel to giv it some tang. First though I will make her chocolate version it looks fantastic, so a big thankyou to an inspirational woman. Today sees me sorting and cataloging all my recipes into raw and non raw. This blog will be a space for me to share my views, product testing, restaurant reviews and reccommendations and all things vegan.
I started today with a swim and boogy then my dog and I enjoyed a punnet of timboon strawberries topped with creamy cashew cream (blend raw cashews with some water and vanilla bean), ahh a fantastic way to start the day.
A freshly squeezed pineapple and raspberry juice is just what i need now, so til next time; Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit and resign yourself to the influences of each"Henry David Thoreau"
